                           Understanding Necessity & Proportionality
                                                        ½ Day

The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) requires people engaged in RIPA activity to consider five key terms including Necessary, Proportionality and Collateral Intrusion.

However, there is clearly confusion surrounding these terms.

This lack of understanding is regularly reported upon by the Office of Surveillance Commissioners (OSC) when they conduct their inspections and exploited by defence barristers in legal proceedings, resulting in their understanding and application being regularly examined in courts across the UK.

Our ½ day workshop allows delegates to not only understand these crucial terms but also how to apply them when engaging in RIPA activity.

Our trainers were involved with the OSC in designing a framework around these key terms and delegates will receive first hand knowledge of this work.

Each of our RIPA courses can be tailored to the specific requirements of the audience.

Please contact one of our friendly members of staff to discuss your requirements without any obligation and absolutely NO high-pressure selling.
